Rachelle joined our team in February 2022 and is our senior instructor.
Before joining us, she taught intensive practical Korean courses for over two years - courses that gave students the ability and confidence to work in Korea as foreign workers.
She now brings her very practical teaching skills to help students learn Korean so they can understand what is being said in Korean dramas, communicate with local Korean businesses and to have the confidence to one day visit South Korea.
Rachelle has a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Asian Studies with a major in Korean Studies from Philippine International College as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS), Computer science from Ramon Magsaysay Technological University.
Rio joined our team in August 2022 as one of our talented Korean language instructors.
Before joining us, she taught Korean to Filipino students for one year and taught English to Korean students for six months.
Like Rachelle, she now brings her very practical teaching skills to help students learn Korean, so they can understand what is being said in Korean dramas, communicate with local Korean businesses and to have the confidence to one day visit South Korea.
She also worked at her local Korean community association assisting Koreans and brings her own unique style to our community.

Simon is the founder of KDrama Gear (KDG).
He is a huge fan of Korean drama.
Simon originally founded KDG as a fan merchandise site, but has since expanded KDG to include a rich KDrama community and a place for everyday KDrama fans to learn Korean.
He also termed the phrase "bite sized Korean" to symbolize a philosophy of simplified learning.
Especially for fans of Korean drama, who just want to learn in small steps, and not get overwhelmed with too many different ideas at the same time.
Simon has a business degree in accounting, a master's degree in business administration and has previously taught English as a foreign language.
I have "attended" a number of online, Instagram, and YouTube lessons, but I've found the instructor for the these courses to be singularly organized, patient, and helpful. The presentations for each class are well-thought-out, eye-catching, and easy to understand.
I can't recommend these classes enough. I plan on attending each new class that is offered. I hope you will join in the fun and register for a class sometime soon! You won't be sorry!
레이첼 선생님 감사합니다! (Thank you, teacher Rachelle!)

The teacher is great. I’m learning a lot.
I’m catching more when I watch the shows / movies or listen to k pop. Don’t be shy give it a try.
Rachelle and Ria have to be two of the most patient teachers anywhere!
I loved the group lessons and when my schedule permits again, would love to do that.
In the meantime, I'm loving the private lessons and am learning so much.
I'm able to pick out more and more when I watch Kdramas and it's a very 대박 feeling!!!
Working through the recorded lessons has helped refresh my memory - a very good purchase for me and worth every penny!
